FAQ

What does the day include?

The Introduction to Cosmetic Microbiology course will give you an insight into what procedures need to be carried out on a cosmetic product before it is legally sold on the global market and the importance of safety testing. There will be a presentation given throughout the day and the opportunity to carry out your very own antibacterial test on various products with our talented microbiologists. We will also go through all the data that needs to be captured for a successful test and how to present these findings. To finish the day on a high, we will dive into our Research & Development lab where you can create your very own cosmetic product.

Will there be food?

Lunch will be provided with all different dietary needs catered to. Please email Georgia to let her your diet preferences and allergies. Water, tea and, coffee will also be available throughout the day.

What do I need to bring?

All you need is yourselves and a pen and paper. Everything you need on the day will be supplied for you.

What do I wear?

As we will be in a lab environment for some of the day please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. No open-toe footwear can be worn, no shorts or tights are also to be worn in the labs due to handling media. Please tie long hair back when in the labs and ensure there you have no loose jewellery.
